WALNUT BEND STORM DEBRIS COLLECTION

Please be advised, crews under the control of the City of Houston and FEMA have started removing debris from our neighborhood. As of Tuesday, September 19ththe collection crews began such debris removal on Blue Willow and were working their way through the neighborhood. The Walnut Bend Home Association was not notified prior to the start of such debris removal and has not been provided with any information regarding the hours or route schedule for the ongoing debris collection. It is the Walnut Bend Home Association’s understanding that the collection crews will block off those streets where they are working, and the Constables will be doing what they can to assist with traffic control.

REMEMBER, ALL VEHICLES MUST BE OFF THE STREET: All vehicles (personal, contractors etc.) or other obstructions must be removed from the street so that the collection crews may conduct their work and access the debris piles. Those homes with vehicles or other obstructions blocking access to the debris piles will be skipped, and may risk the possibility of not having their debris removed during this collection process.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR DEBRIS REMOVED: Please make sure you indicate that with a large sign that you request for the collection crew to skip your house/leave your debris. However, it should be noted that you may be responsible for removal of your debris if it is not collected during this scheduled time.

The Walnut Bend Home Association will provide updates as it receives additional information.
